It takes a village…

Show Choir takes a village.
A village of parents volunteering with great joy and vigor because Competition Season begins in a mere 3 weeks.
I’m sure you all have received the itinerary for Papillion South on January 13th. We need parent volunteers for:

1. PARENT STAGE CREW – these parents will help set the stage for the Express performance. Because Express is so large it requires an additional set of risers. There will most likely be some “set design” pieces, etc. to be positioned. Approximately 6-8 parents per show because time is limited and we must move quickly to get set up or potentially be docked points. It is preferable that the same crew work each show. I know, I know that’s rough. So please volunteer for as many shows as you can. You will also need to come to the dress rehearsals most likely January 9th and 11th to learn what you need to do. Be Aware that you will not have time to go sit down. You will watch from the wings and as soon as Express is over quickly take down our equipment. If you ever wanted to be a Roadie for a rock band here’s your chance.

2. Room Monitors – during competitions we need parents to monitor the rooms assigned to our choirs. This involves sitting in a chair outside the room and making sure unauthorized people don’t enter to steal our stuff or vandalize, or any inappropriate actions, answer questions, assist with anything needed etc. We have three choirs so most likely three rooms, therefore I am asking for two parents to cover the three rooms. I’ve made two hour time slots and with seven slots over five performances that requires 70 parent volunteers.
Please sign up.
